[Clover is in her room at the Goldenrod hotel. She's sitting on her bed with an Eevee beside her, looking somewhat...confused. The Delcatty (yup, we now know where much of the money Clover earns from the Center went to) at her feet is staring at the Eevee, as if wanting to ask, "WHY ARE YOU HERE." Her tail swishes and her attention returns to Clover, who just sighs and starts talking.]

I found Scoville waiting in my PC. [She pats the Eevee on the head.] And there's one other thing.

... [Clover the Delcatty cocks her head to one side. Her next unspoken question is, "WHAT OTHER THING."]

His previous trainer was Ace, and he's gone. I have no idea why he'd give me his Eevee, but...I'll keep him.

[Scoville beams and wags his tail, bracing his paws onto Clover's lap. Delcatty will just fold her paws regally and just sit Sphinx-style.]

I better start thinking of what he'll evolve into, huh? And his new name, probably. [She frowns in thought. Names are serious business.]

By the way, I checked Scoville to make sure he didn't have any tricks up his furry sleeves, and got nothin'. Twice. So I'm pretty sure he's safe.

But I really dunno why he'd leave him with me. Or maybe Scoville escaped and then found his way into my PC? Geez, I'll never understand that guy. At least he's out of our hair.

[Clover rolls her eyes, and sighs in relief. And at least he hadn't tried anything out of line.]

Also, it can actually melt into water or something like that. That's a neat trick.

Kisa has a Vaporeon? Neat.

Yeah, she does. Really helpful guy too, since she helped me pull out my pokémon from the water before.

I think Scoville's gonna be a big help to me too.

...yeah, I think I'll change his name first.

What's wrong with his current name?

It sounds like something an old man would give to his pet. And it also sounds...dusty.

... I have never heard of anyone describe a name as... dusty. The name sounds okay to me though.

It sounds like something really old and formal that you forgot for a long time. Although a friend of mine said it was a unit of measure for spiciness.

Well... Okay it does sound pretty formal.

So what are you gonna change it to?

I'm not sure yet. I mean, even if I change it, it might not match what his evolution's gonna be.

So you'll just wait until he evolves or something?

Maybe. Unless I think of a name that's like, universal for all evolutions.

Like Bob? [He grins widely. He's joking, of course.]

[A laugh; she knows he's joking.]

I think that's way too universal.

It saves you from thinking too hard. Maybe something like Sakura then?

Isn't that a girl's name? Scoville's a guy.

Ken, maybe?

[She laughs.]

I'd be naming him after a friend of mine, then. I don't think they look anything alike, anyhow.

Well, I'm sure there's some name out there that would work easily. I mean, there's more than thousands to choose from.

And if I run out of ideas, I can make one up.

Just as long as it's not something too weird. Dooon't think he'll let you live it down if you do.
