...A-anyway, I'm awake now. [Those who've talked to Clover in the past may notice that she's not her usual loud and hyper self. Her voice sounds faint and groggy.] I hope everyone else is awake too. 

Budew? Budew!

Yeah... [There's the sound of little footsteps from the little feet of a little Budew just worried about his mistress.] I'm fine...

[She shuts off the feed.]

[Clive is worried that his Pokegear seems to be broadcasting some sort of girl who's gotten kidnapped--oh wait. Half of everyone here has been kidnapped from somewhere. :| He doesn't know about the Shedinja.]

Are you sure you're alright, Miss? Pardon me, but you don't sound very well. Are you able to access medical services?

[This reply comes much later, after Snake brings her food and she's sufficiently recovered. Clover is a lot better than she looked in her initial transmission.]

[Watch as a few large glowing eyes start appearing behind him, unbeknownst to Clive. [Cheap scare tactic is cheap. orz]]

W-what's that behind you? Is that...your Pokémon?

[Clive quickly turns around, and comes face to face with a Hoothoot. He drops the Pokegear in surprise, which is quickly snatched up by the Pokemon. It flies up, and the Pokegear display now shows a variety of foliage obscured by a Hoothoot foot. Clive's voice can be heard in the background.]

Wait! You can't just take that! Get back here, you featherbrain!

[Video feed's still on. The Hoothoot seems to have stopped moving, giving Clover at least a stable view of some tree branch.]

[Clive hears her and locates the errant Hoothoot. It is sitting on a tree branch above him, holding onto the Pokegear with its other foot.]

Aha! There you are. And no, fortunately or unfortunately, he isn't.

[He picks up a Pokeball and chucks it at the owl. His aim kind of sucks, so it misses the Hoothoot and hits the trunk next to it instead. Have a Cubone suddenly materialize in front of your screen, Clover.]

[Was he gonna battle the Hoothoot? Clover thinks the only mistake Clive made was tossing the ball against the trunk.]

Good idea! Make your...um, Cubone battle it if you have to!

[Yes, that was the plan. Of course. Fortunately though, sending out Cubone scared the Hoothoot sufficiently enough to scare it off, leaving the Pokegear. The Cubone then drops the Pokegear down to Clive's waiting hands. Not soon after, he has recalled his Pokemon and returned the screen to its proper viewing/recording position]

Well, that was easier than I expected. Thank you for your assistance--you have no idea how helpful that vocal guide was.

No, I've only been here for 'bout a month. And this is...well, it's kinda different. It's not really a sickness, it was caused by a Pokémon.

I'm glad I haven't ran into anything that dangerous yet. You would think someone would have built some sort of transportation infrastructure through all this wilderness already.

I think they're already rounding up the Shedinja who've been causing this sort of thing, but you still gotta be careful.

This place is weird that way. I wanna buy a bike but they're sold in another city, so we still gotta walk.

I appreciate the warning. There really should be some sort of monitored trails at least--there are young children hiking around on these trails.

Us? Yeah, maybe someday. But I think it's still kinda far away.

Yes, there is that. Although I'd have to say that the Pokemon themselves vary quite a bit in their...practicality. [A certain someone's Magikarp comes to mind.]
