[Clover is seated on a bench not far from the gym of Violet City. She isn't as happy and excited as she was during her last transmission, when her Roselia evolved and all. While she looks a little proud, she looks proud in a...sad way, as if her victory had cost her something. Beside her is her ever-loyal Roselia, and a Skitty is sharing the girl's lap with a Pichu.

She reaches into her left jacket pocket and pulls out a Zephyr Badge (which is mod-approved, by the waaaay~).]

I beat Falkner a few days ago. [One would think she should be celebrating since she has only been talking about this for ages, but...no. Clover manages only the faintest of smiles. Heck, he even pestered her about her Fearow, but that's a story she'll save for another day. Maybe when she's more cheerful.]

...

Snake really trained his Skitty well. She helped us win...so in a way, he kinda helped all of us win. [She nods, and closes her eyes briefly as if thinking of something...or possibly holding back tears? The Pichu touches her free hand, as if trying to reassure her, while the Roselia will gaze at his trainer and reach for her shoulder.] 

Anyway, for those who still don't know, my brother's gone. I know he'll be okay, but I wish there was some way for me to see how he's doing, at least. 

And...now that I got the badge, I'll be leaving Violet soon. That's all.

[She pockets her badge, and that's all there is. There isn't any more.]

Miles walks up to Clover from somewhere behind her, watching her post quietly as he does so. Máni the Teddiursa is skipping around in a flowerbed a little behind him, and his Eevee (who still refuses to accept any name he's come up with) is perched regally in his arms, though she jumps to her feet to go nestle in the sunlit grass. Leaving them to entertain themselves, Miles hurries his steps to approach the upset girl. ]

Clover.

[ And he is pro at starting conversations. ]

[It should be Monday right now...? HERP DERP and maybe these two can talk for a bit before Ken pops up.

Clover is surprised to see him - and while she would be grateful for the company, the fact that Miles looks like Snake cancels out that little lift her spirits needed. But she's not going to ignore him - he was different. Similar, but he wasn't her brother.]

Oh - hey, Miles.

[Light the Roselia waves one flower, while Clover (YES, SNAKE NAMED HER CLOVER) the Skitty perks up from where she was supposedly about to take a nap. Ion the Pichu is way ahead of her and is sound asleep against Clover's left arm.]

[ Seeing her like this...he knows mentally that Snake's fine and they both know it, but he can't help but be reminded of how lost she had looked, back on the ship.

He doesn't know what to say, but he should say something, right? Remind her that she's not alone and all. ]

[This is actually better in comparison, really. At least Snake had left a letter, two of his Pokémon and a four-leaf clover, and Clover knew that people who disappeared in Johto were taken home. Of course, that didn't stop her from shedding a tear or two or several when she first found out...

Training her Pokémon and battling Falkner did help her cope, at least, as well as the thought that Snake would have wanted her to keep on doing what she did best here.]

[She smiles sadly. Clover is glad to see him; after all, he had kept her from falling apart back then. And of course, she still had the bookmark...and with it, she had shared the leaf words once with a friend.]
